My new article in the Canadian Encyclopedia is about Robert Laidlaw MacMillan, a cardiologist and professor of medicine at the University of Toronto and co-founder of the world’s first coronary care unit in 1962. MacMillan is the father of acclaimed historian and author, Margaret MacMillan.
